In the month of June Ironton Gallery will present Tim Berg’s most recent investigation into the ineffable relationship between humankind and the environment.

Berg is a Colorado native currently living in Oakland, California. After receiving his MFA from Alfred University in 2003 Berg returned to Colorado to work at Anderson Ranch Art Center and teach at Metropolitan State College of Denver. The work for this exhibition was created while in residence at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art in Omaha, Nebraska.

Berg is an emerging interdisciplinary artist who creates humorous, provocative and sensual experiences that strive to resolve the divide between unconditional belief and deep seeded cynicism.

Ecoficial is an exploration into the content of constructed environments such as gardens, parks and forests. Through an evaluation of these artificial ecologies Berg deconstructs a romantic view of nature in order to emphasize humankinds vital role within it.
