Recurrent Nightmare
A Ceramic and Metal Installation by Chelsea
Hunt
Opening Reception is Friday March
30th, 2007, 6-9pm

Chelsea Hunt’s ceramic and metal
installation depicts a recurrent childhood nightmare in which
she is playing a frightening game of hide and seek with giants.
The dollhouse-size scale of the installation draws the viewer
into her tiny environments. As the viewer explores these environments,
they become the giants themselves, hovering over the domestic
scenes searching for the hidden child. The main focus of the
installation is a dollhouse reminiscent of old tin dollhouses.
A giant voyeuristically peers into the dollhouse as children
hide in secret domestic spaces within.
Chelsea Hunt is a Ceramic
